Alexandria's Qaitbay Citadel was the favorite tourism destination during the Eidul Adha holiday, chief of the Islamic and Coptic antiquities at the Antiquities Ministry Mohammed Metwali said on Monday.

He said more than 18,000 people visited0 the citadel.

Metwali said the site came on top of the list of archaeological areas which witnessed the highest turnout of citizens during the Eid.
