Chinese Culture Minister Luo Shugang will attend the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal on August 6.

He will be a representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping upon an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, according to an official press statement by the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei.
