Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, has concluded its ‘Summer of Heritage’ with 15 educational workshops aimed to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the emirate’s rich heritage.
Fatima Lootah, Director of Cultural and Heritage Programmes at Dubai Culture, said, "We are delighted that our ‘Summer of Heritage’ event gave us an excellent opportunity to reach out to the younger generation and instill in them a true appreciation for UAE culture and heritage. It also gave children the chance to make the most of their free time during the summer break by participating in enriching workshops that reflected our mandate to promote cultural exchange and support the Emirate’s vibrant culture, arts and heritage sectors."
The event took place at Al Rashidiya branch of the Dubai Public Library and ran from 6th to 17th August, featuring workshops aimed at all segments of the community about the UAE’s heritage, values and traditions, and promoted patriotism, hospitality, good manners and respectful behaviour for which the nation is renowned.
Dubai Culture's mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
