The idea of holding Egypt's first antiquities exhibition in the Latin American country of Argentina was officially raised on Tuesday.

At a meeting with Argentina's Ambassador in Cairo Sergio Alberto, Egyptian Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damati said such an exhibition would be a new step on the road to promote in-bound tourism, especially cultural tourism.

The meeting went over ways to enhance cooperation in the various relevant fields and the possibility of holding joint lectures and training courses, according to the minister.

The Argentine Embassy will issue a 120-page guide, both in English and Spanish, to review Argentina's contributions to the Egyptology domain in the 20th and 21st centuries.
