Grand Egyptian museum receives 430 artifacts from Egyptian museum in Tahrir

The Grand Egyptian Museum received 430 new artifacts from Egyptian Museum in Tahrir in order to be displayed during the opening of the museum, said the general supervisor of the museum Tarek Tawfik.

In statements on Thursday, Tawfik said transferring artifacts was conducted under the full supervision of antiquities inspectors and with full coordination with tourism police.

The artifacts date back to the First Dynasty of ancient Egypt, he added.

Meanwhile, the museum’s director of restoration Department Issa Zidan said all the artifacts will be restored via using the latest technologies.
