The sandstorm that hit the ancient city of Aswan Monday caused the fall of a small stone bloc on the upper doorsill of the second hall of the Temple of Kom Ombo, an official in charge of Answan Antiquities told MENA on Monday.
The bloc was not broken and archaeologists would return it to its original place on Tuesday, Ahmed Saleh, the director general of Aswan Antiquities at the Ministry of Antiquities, said.
Also a hanging ceiling, made of cork, fall in the Crocodiles Museum of Kom Ombo, Saleh said, adding that no one was wounded.
