H.E. Lee Myung-bak and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received former President of South Korea, H.E. Lee Myung-bak, at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness noted the strength of bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and South Korea, which has contributed to enhanced cooperation across various fields

His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s continued commitment to building strategic partnerships with various countries in Asia, in particular South Korea. His Royal Highness further highlighted that relations between Bahrain and South Korea have seen significant, tangible development in recent years as a consequence of long-standing efforts by the leaderships of both countries

His Royal Highness went on to express his hope that Bahrain and South Korea will continue to develop partnerships across key strategic sectors such as the industrial sector, as a means of creating promising economic opportunities and generating positive growth in both countries 

His Royal Highness then welcomed the former President of South Korea’s visit to Bahrain, recalling his previous visit to South Korea

For his part, the former President of South Korea expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and noted the strength of bilateral relations between Bahrain and Korea 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
