Pakistan's President receives UAE Ambassador

President Mamnoon Hussain has praised the distinguished historical relations between Pakistan and the UAE. His comments came during a meeting with Essa Abdullah Al Basha Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the meeting, which marked the end of Al Nuaimi's tenure as ambassador, President Hussain lauded the support provided by the UAE to his country in various developmental and humanitarian fields over the past few decades, and the care and attention enjoyed by country's community.

The president relayed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, wishing Their Highnesses and the UAE people continued progress and prosperity.

He also applauded Al Nuaimi's efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries during the performance of his duties as Ambassador of the UAE to Pakistan.

Ambassador Al Nuaimi congratulated the Pakistan's President on the 70th anniversary of the nation's independence and expressed his thanks and appreciation to Pakistan's government and officials the for the cooperation he received during his tenure.

He emphasised the UAE's keenness to further develop its relations with Pakistan across various sectors and highlighted the UAE's achievements since 2011 to provide support in infrastructure development and humanitarian aid to Pakistan, especially the UAE campaign for polio eradication.

Al Nuaimi also spoke about the historical depth of relations, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, between the two friendly nations, adding that the people of the two countries share common values and principles derived from Islam, geographical context, and social and cultural interaction.
