Yarmouk camp on the outskirts

The Russian-backed Syrian army announced an offensive on Yarmouk camp on the outskirts of Damascus on Sunday killing one resident.
The offensive targeted areas in Reef Daraa. No other casualties have been reported.
A senior IS state along with his wife and two children have been killed in an airstrike that targeted areas west of Deir Ezzor, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced Sunday
The observatory, which monitors the conflict from Britain, earlier said that Islamic State controlled 90 percent of the camp after defeating fighters mainly from Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis, a Syrian and Palestinian militia opposed to Assad.
The observatory has said Syrian air force jets had been waging a bombing campaign on militant hideouts in the camp almost daily since Islamic State fighters infiltrated from the adjacent, rebel-held Hajar al Aswad neighborhood.
The United Nations has said it is extremely concerned about the safety and protection of Syrians and Palestinians in the camp. Civilians trapped there have long suffered a two-year government siege to force rebels to capitulate that has led to chronic food shortages and disease.
