Al-Hilal striker Ahmad Ali celebrates after scoring the first goal in the Crown Prince Cup Al-Hilal became Crown Prince Cup champion for the 10th time in the team\'s history and for the fourth time in a row after crushing Wehda in the final
match 5-0 at King Abdul Aziz Sport city in Makkah on Friday On behalf of Crown Prince Sultan, Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, attended the final match along with more than 30,000 Hilal and Wehda fans. Sports critics predicted an easy Hilal win but not by such a lopsided result that underscored the gulf that separated the Saudi league leaders from the competition. Both teams had a slow start testing each other\'s lines. It didn\'t take long for Hilal to find the weakness in Wehda defense and score the first goal in the 24th minute. The first half ended 1-0 to Hilal. Hilal scored the second goal in the 60th minute courtesy of Abdullah Al-Zuri. Demoralized, Wehda lost hope in coming back and nine minutes later, star defender Muhammad Al-Shalhoub added a third goal for Hilal from a fine shot inside the penalty box. At this point Wehda fans headed for the exits apparently unable to bear the methodical thrashing being administered by the visiting team. Christian Wilhelmsson received a fine pass behind the Wehda defense line in the 71st minute and did not find any difficulty placing the ball in the back of the net. Nawaf Al-Abed completed Hilal\'s five-goal romp with another marker in the 80th minute. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal awarded Hilal the trophy and gold medals at the end of the match.
