Syrian doctors don\'t need to speak Turkish according to new law
Ankara – Arab Today
Syrian health care providers will be able to work in camps housing Syrian shelter-seekers in Turkey, made possible by a law amendment put into force on Tuesday
.
The change, which concerns labour rules and regulations for private sector workers, mainly involves an easing of language requirements across the board and a special exemption clause for Syrian medical workers.
The article containing the prerequisite of \"having a command of the Turkish language comparable to B level or higher according to the criteria of European Language Portfolio\" has been amended to say \"ability to speak the Turkish language.\"
Syrian doctors will not be required to speak Turkish according to the new law. They will only be asked to submit their medical licence, which will not need to have equivalence in the Turkish health system.
