Kuala Lumpur - Muslimchronicle
The government should strengthen cooperation with regional and global law enforcement agencies in the effort to fight cyber crimes, said Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) senior vice-chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye .
According to Lee, in addition to creating a legal framework with other countries, the cooperation was important to ensure cyber crime offenders could be brought to justice.
"Cyber attacks do not involve physical contact and in most cases the offences are committed in other countries and are thus subject to the jurisdiction of foreign countries," he said in a statement.
