Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, opened the GCC State's Secured Communication Office in the Saudi city of Al Zahran on Sunday, in the presence of a number of military and defence officials from GCC Member States.
In a speech on the occasion, Mr. Al-Zayani expressed deep pride in the opening of the office, stressing that the GCC joint action, in all vital fields, will always enjoy the focus and continuous keenness in implementation of the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries, as well as the decisions of the GCC Ministers of Defence.
He explained that the office will contribute to conducting and maintaining secured communications between the Ministries of Defence, interior and foreign affairs with the General Secretariat of the council, in the framework of the countries endeavours to unify the communication systems between the GCC countries.
