Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has ordered the release of 305 prisoners who are serving various sentences and those who have been sentenced in different cases, from punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate, on the advent of Eid al-Adha.

Sheikh Saud will cover the financial charges and fines against those covered by the amnesty.

The move comes in line with the RAK Ruler’s keenness to give offenders the chance to begin a new life and ease the suffering of their families.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah and Chairman of RAK Judicial Council, has directed the taking of all necessary measures to implement the RAK Ruler's order in coordination with the General Command of Ras al-Khaimah Police.

Counselor Hassan Saeed Mhimed, Attorney-General of RAK Emirate, expressed profound gratitude to the RAK Ruler for his gesture as it will reunite the released prisoners with their families, and give them new opportunities to start a new life as good members of society, and bring happiness to their families.

He also thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi for the support His Highness extends to the Public Prosecution and the judiciary in the emirate.
