Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head later on Saturday for Khartoum to lead Egypt's delegation to meetings of the political consultations between the two countries, which will kick off on Sunday.
The political consultations committee is scheduled to tackle bilateral ties along with a host of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Shoukry is scheduled to meet with his Sudanese counterpart Ibrahim Ghandour to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral ties, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Egypt is keen on removing obstacles which hinder the flow of trade movement between the two countries, he affirmed.
Egypt is also keen on enhancing TRADE AND INVESTMENT exchange between the two countries, he further said.
The meetings will also tackle the possibility of endorsing a media code of honor between the two countries, added the spokesman.
