In a bid to provide Dubai residents with international specialised medical care, the Dubai Health Authority, DHA, is hosting visiting doctors who are currently practicing medicine in countries such as the US, Belgium, Italy and the UK.

Abdulrahman Mohammad Al Owghani, Director of General Foreign Relations and Media Department at DHA, said that this is an ongoing programme and the authority hosts visiting doctors on a monthly basis to provide consultations to patients in highly specialised and super-specialised medical fields.

Visiting doctors to Dubai Hospital include US Consultant Endocrine Surgeon, Dr. Emad Kandil, from March 4th to 7th, and Belgian Bariatric Surgeon, Dr. Bruno Dillemans, from March 11th to 14th.

Visiting doctors to Rashid Hospital include Consultant Radiologist, Dr. Ricardo Rivera Wage, from London, from March 12th to 16th.

Visiting doctors to Latifa Hospital include Italian Consultant in Uro-gynaecology, Dr. Alessandro Dafiero, from March 12th to 16th, US Consultant in Paediatrics, Dr. Olivier Danhaive, from March 18th to 26th, and US Consultant Pediatrician, Dr. Maria Roberta Cilio, from March 18th to 26th.
