Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Abu Zaid announced that, the Qatari ambassador for Egypt was summoned on Monday to Foreign Ministry headquarters to inform him with the decision of cutting all diplomatic ties with Qatar and hand him an official memorandum to end his accreditation as ambassador to his country in Egypt. The ambassador was informed to return to Doha and was given 48 hours to carry out this decision.
