His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received, at Al-Sakhir Palace, citizens from Jidhafs and neighbouring areas, reflecting royal keenness on reaching out to all people of Bahrain.
HM the King welcomed them all, stressing the importance of such gatherings which, he said, provide an opportunity to reach out to all people of Bahrain. He paid tribute to loyal citizens for their support, hailing their determination and commitment to serve their nation and build on the achievements of the development and reform process on the path towards the Bahrain of the Future.
He commended the citizens of Jidhafs area and hailed their strenuous efforts which contributed to the Kingdom's development. He cited educational, health, trade and social services which developed and thrived thanks to citizens’ dedication, contributions and keenness on preserving national gains.
He paid homage to the scholars who hail from the Jidhafs area, lauding their strong stances and support to all that strengthens national unity.
HM the King named an avenue in Jidhafs after the late Shaikh Suleiman Al-Madani, in recognition to his great dedication and national contributions. He paid homage to Shaikh Al-Madani and praised his prolific legacy and contribution to national scientific and cultural development, hailing the standing of the late scholar within his community.
HM the King said that the windfall of development programmes will benefit all regions of Bahrain on equal footing, in line with the royal keenness on strengthening nation-building.
HM the King ordered the construction of the second phase of the Jidhafs Mosque to serve citizens in the area and other neighbouring zones, in line with royal keenness on meeting citizens’ needs.
The King congratulated all the audience on the birthday anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), wishing Bahrain and its people, the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns. HM the King prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless the people of Bahrain with lasting progress, prosperity, solidarity and tolerance.
Shaikh Mohammed Taher bin Shaikh Suleiman Al Madani gave a speech on behalf of Jidhafs citizens in which he expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the meeting, lauding Bahrain’s inherent approach of constant communication founded by Al-Khalifa leaders and passed down from generation to generation.
He praised Bahraini inherent customs and traditions, stressing with great appreciation the solid relation between Bahrain leaders and the people based on mutual respect, patriotism and keenness on the nation’s security and stability.
Al Madani underlined the approach inspired from Islam that is adopted by Bahraini leaders, scholars and people to promote co-existence and tolerance in the community, stressing strong ties between the leadership and people.
He also extended thanks and gratitude to HM the King for the unwavering support to the community centres, Husainiya processions, charity organisations and Islamic endowments, commending the harmony and cohesion characterising the Bahraini society.
He paid tribute to HM the King for his keenness to protect religions, freedom and rituals which make Bahrain a unique model of tolerance and co-existence.
Al Madani hailed Bahrain’s achievements and comprehensive growth, describing them as the dividends of the royal directives and wise leadership of HM the King. He expressed hope Jidhafs area would benefit more from the kingdom’s development and urbanization momentum, pointing out the need to further develop the infrastructure of this region so as to cope with its natural growth.
Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa, in a statement following the meeting, praised the meeting and the royal interest in learning about the citizens’ needs and ambitions that reflect the relationship between HM the king and his people.
The governor pointed out the civilizational and development achievements seen by Bahrain and its prestigious international standing that highlight the royal vision based on using sustainable development in favour of the homeland.
He expressed sincere appreciation of the royal gesture of meeting citizens of Jidhafs, which emphasizes the character of strong cohesion between the leader and his people.
He concluded by reiterating allegiance to HM the King and standing by all steps and endeavours aimed at the homeland’s progress.
