South Africa will continue to support regional and international efforts to address the scourge of terrorism in all its forms, President Jacob Zuma said on Monday.
Zuma was responding to a deadly attack that took place on Saturday at a wedding party in Turkish city of Gaziantep, which left over 50 people dead and dozens injured.
Sending a message of condolences to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish government and people of Turkey, Zuma said the South African government condemns "in the strongest terms the deadly attack against innocent civilians in Gaziantep".
"Terrorism in any form and from whichever quarter cannot be condoned. South Africa stands firmly with the international community in condemning all terrorism," said Zuma.
The South African government and people extend deepest condolences to the government and people of Turkey, and especially to the families of the deceased, and wish the injured a speedy recovery, Zuma added.
