Sufian al-Sulaiti

The judicial spokesman of counter-extremism, Sufian al-Sulaiti said that, the Tunisian authorities imprisoned 10 people returning from Germany for their connection with extremist organizations. During the investigations their connections appeared and imprisonment orders against them have been issued, but not all of the involved or who has any connection with Anis Amri were deported.

Tunisia also received others from Italy, who have international arrest warrants and involved with extremist cells in Tunisia. Al-Sulaiti said that doesn’t mean Tunisia is a source of extremism, and there are elements who have been recruited in Europe.

Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntag Zeitung” newspaper issued a report saying that, more than 100 persons who are listed as dangerous are currently living in Germany, and they can be deported. The report added that, according to security sources, ministries of Interior in Germany have already deported 13 dangerous people since the beginning of the year, including 7 to Tunisia.
