Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah was questioned by parliament last week.

Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on Monday presented the resignation of his cabinet.

Kuwaiti parliament speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim has said he expected the government to resign on Monday, ruling out the dissolution of parliament.

At a parliamentary session last week, two MPs - Riad al-Adsani and Abdulkarim al-Kanderi - subjected Al Sabah to questioning on a range of issues. A member of Kuwait’s ruling family, Al Sabah also currently serves as acting information minister.

After the session, 10 MPs - unsatisfied with the minister’s answers - had asked that he be subject to a vote of confidence in a parliamentary session next week.

On Wednesday evening, Kuwaiti cabinet members tendered their resignations to Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad Al Sabah.
