Prime Minister Sherif Ismail

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Saturday refused to comment on an advisory issued by the US Embassy in Cairo to its citizens to be cautious and avoid public places in the Egyptian capital on Sunday, saying that the Foreign Ministry’s response was "sufficient".

In statements at the Investment Ministry, Ismail stressed the government’s keenness to continuously follow up the availability of commodities in markets at affordable prices.

He added that his meeting today with the supply minister comes as part of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to provide commodities for citizens and control prices in markets.

As for a celebration to mark the 150th anniversary of the parliamentary life commencement in Egypt, the prime minister said that Egypt is a democratic country and the participation of several parliaments and senior lawmakers from all over the world is a good opportunity to meet their counterparts in Egypt.

On the fourth-generation (4G) mobile license, Ismail said that the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) will hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the issue.
