Severe floods have displaced more than 100,000 people in central Nigeria.
Heavy rains caused the West African nation's second largest river, the Benue, to overflow and flood most of Benue State, an area of 34,000 square kilometres, an emergency services official told dpa.
Two people died in the floods, while tens of thousands of homes and farmland were inundated, according to Boniface Ortese, Executive Secretary of Benue's Emergency Management Agency
