At least six people including the attacker were killed and 13 others injured as a blast rocked Jalalabad city, capital of eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Sunday, spokesman for provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said.

"Six people including the attacker were killed and 13 others injured after a terrorist exploded his explosive-borne motorbike in Jalalabad city," Khogiani told Xinhua.

All the victims are civilians in the bombing which occurred at 01:30 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the official said.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

Investigation has been initiated into the incident and details would be made public, the official added.
