The US condemned the Houthi militia’s repression of political opponents including the killing of former Yemeni president Ali Abdallah Saleh.

The White House stated, on Friday, that political negotiations are necessary to end Yemen conflict and to ensure the country is free of "the malign influence of Iranian-backed militias"
