Anya Marokko is a new fashion brand that adapts silk blouses for everyday wear and redefines women’s approach to dressing. Draping is at the core of the design process, while embracing the fluidity of silk, the designs aim to follow the natural movement of the body. With attention to detail in the cut and finishing of the garments, the design experiments with shapes, textures and print. The first collection started as a study of the drape and female form, drawing inspiration from the 1930s and reinterpreting traditional detailing of the era in a contemporary silhouette. Swathes of silk around the body create a sculptural drape, while the abstract black and white print accentuates the art deco aesthetic.
