London-based French-born fashion designer Roland Mouret has partnered with The Woolmark Company to develop an eight-piece ready-to-wear Australian Merino wool collection exclusively for Australian retailer Myer. Fronted by one of Australia's most respected fashion identities, Nicole Warne of GaryPepperGirl.com, the collection features the designer's signature silhouettes including dresses, tops, TTD, trouser and skirt, utilising his instinctive draping technique. The collection plays with the notion of colour therapy, using colour blocking in bright blues, fluoro pinks, oranges and greens. The designer will be visiting Australia to launch the Woolmark-certified capsule collection at Myer Sydney and Melbourne stores. While in Sydney, Mouret will also sit on the judging panel for the prestigious 2014/15 International Woolmark Prize Australia regional final, offering valuable insight and guidance to emerging Australian designers. The Roland Mouret Australian Merino wool collection will be available exclusively at Myer Sydney and Melbourne stores from 17 July, and globally on the Roland Mouret digital flagship, rolandmouret.com.
