Bethlehem - QNA
Israeli forces detained 42 Palestinians across the West Bank overnight, the army said Wednesday.
An Israeli army spokesman told (Ma'an) news agency 41 of the Palestinians who were arrested were "Hamas operatives" and that the arrests were "part of the ongoing operation.
The arrests also took place in Hebron, Nablus, the village of Aqraba, Salfit, Anata, Tulkarem, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Qalqiliya and Jordan Valley, according to Ahrar Center for Human Rights' statement.
Former prisoners released as part of the Shalit deal were among the detainees.
The arrests come as Israel continued its West Bank operation in the wake of the kidnapping and killing of three Israeli youths, who were buried Tuesday.
Hamas has denied responsibility for the incident.
The Israeli army has killed six Palestinians and arrested hundreds throughout the campaign.
