Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met Othman Moussa Derar Shoroua, Djibouti Ambassador to the UAE, and discussed ways of developing commercial and investment co-operation between companies, institutions and businessmen in Abu Dhabi and Djibouti.
Al Qubaisi spoke at the meeting about the competitive services and facilities provided currently by Abu Dhabi to investors from all over the world as the emirate has witnessed great economic development. It has become one of the business centres in the region for many companies and investors to manage their projects in the country and the region under the directives of the wise leadership and the presence of advanced infrastructure, stability and the presence of attractive banking system legislations that attract investors.
He further explained that the renaissance currently witnessed by the Abu Dhabi emirate is being inspired by the Abu Dhabi Plan and its economic vision. It focuses on the establishment of an economy based on various knowledge-based sources, as well as the promotion of cooperation with the private sector. Therefore, it provides numerous opportunities for investors in an international, advanced and exceptional environment, he added.
Al Qubaisi stressed the importance of increasing the contributions of private sector companies and institutions in the emirate to support the economic and social development process in Djibouti by implementing development projects particularly in the field of infrastructure and energy.
The Djibouti Ambassador to the UAE invited the Chairman and Board Members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber to participate in the Djibouti economic forum that will be held in the country in December. It coincides with a large international commercial exhibition with the participation of a large number of companies, commercial and industrial in COMESA.
He said that the forum and the exhibition are considered a great opportunity for Emirati companies to promote their presence and investments in the Djibouti market in many vital areas of importance for its economy.
