Bahrain has deplored the erroneous information and the inaccuracies that are not based on facts or evidence in the Amnesty International report which has steered away from the professionalism and objectivity required in such reports, reported Bahrain News Agency, BNA.
BNA quoted the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying that it will study the report, hoping that the reports of Amnesty International will be fair and will not rely on sources that express the views of one side only, but will draw information from all relevant institutions in order to be objective and ensure that there is no selectivity in the human rights discourse.
"The ministry stresses the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to respect and promote freedoms and the principles of human rights in accordance with the laws and the Constitution and in line with its commitment to international conventions and consistent with its cultural and civilisational heritage and religious values that guarantee tolerance, equality and justice."
