All private sector employees in the UAE will have three-day paid holidays starting on Thursday, 31st August until Saturday, 2nd September, on account of Eid al-Adha, according to an announcement of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
The announcement was made in a Ministerial Circular issued by Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, pursuant to the provisions of Article 74 of Federal Law No. 08 for the year 1980 regarding the regulation of labour relations, as amended, which stipulates that the Eid al-Adha holiday shall be three days.
On the occasion, the Mr. Ghobash greeted President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the people of the UAE and Arab and Islamic countries.
