Emirati women are necessary partners in building the nation: Mohammed Al

On the eve of Emirati Women's Day, launched by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs has said that UAE women are essential partners in ensuring the building of society and the progress and protection of the nation.

"As we commemorate Emirati Women's Day, we are proud of the achievements of the UAE's mother, sister and partner in her journey towards fulfilling the aspirations of the nation," Al Bowardi added.

"Emirati women are active players in the development of the country's renaissance, thanks to the support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. We are confident that the role of the nation's women will continue to grow to new heights in the future aiding the development and progress of the country across all fields," he continued.

Due to the support, constant encouragement and generous care of the Mother of the Nation, H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Emirati women have attained remarkable achievements and taken on prestigious leadership positions in the public and private sectors, the Minister of State for Defence Affairs explained.

"We at the Ministry of Defence are proud of our Emirati female staff, who have demonstrated their ability to carry out the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them to highlight the role of the Ministry with all efficiency and competence, including their involvement in the armed forces to ensure the safety and security of the homeland.

In his concluding remarks, Mohammed Al Bowardi said extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Emirati women for their active role in building society, promoting the nation, and working with great diligence, perseverance and loyalty. "Thank you for your pioneering role in preparing generations to build a robust and secure homeland."
