The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, team in Hadhramaut Governorate in Yemen today announced the completion of its preparations for the launch of the 'Zayed Legacy to Support the Yemeni People' campaign which seeks to assist the families of martyrs and those injured.
Ahmed Al Neyadi, Head of the ERC Team in Hadhramaut, said that the launch of the campaign is in line with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's directives to support the people of Yemen, adding that the campaign will provide for the needs of the families of martyrs and those injured. Eid clothing and children’s gifts, as well as cash and gift vouchers, will be distributed allowing individuals to purchase items from various stores in preparation for Eid al-Adha festivities, he explained.
The campaign is a realisation of the UAE’s humanitarian, rescue and development goals, he continued, highlighting the strong relations between the UAE and Yemen.
Al Neyadi said that the campaign reflects the values of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to help others, and links his name to the UAE’s humanitarian support to Yemen.
