UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler has said that a new phase of the Libyan political agreement will start after the Lesser Bairam.
All combat actions in Benghazi should come to an end for the peace dialogue to start, Kobler tweeted Monday.
He pressed for forming a unified Libyan army that comprises elements from the south, west and east of the country, and respects the leadership of the presidential council. This, he noted, will enable Libya to demand a lift of an arms ban to the country.
Kobler vowed to provide medical assistance to troops of "Al Benyan Al Marsous", affiliated with the Libyan presidential council, in their fight against Daesh in the city of Sirte.
