UAE Ambassador to South Korea, Abdullah Saif Ali Al Nuaimi, has attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Arab Cultural Festival held in Seoul recently, sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Korea Foundation, and supervised by the Korea-Arab Society, KAS.
Held at the National Theater of Korea, the festival saw the participation of three performing arts groups from Sudan, Tunisia and Iraq. Each group presented a musical show highlighting its cultural heritage.
The ceremony was attended by the Director-General for African and Middle Eastern Affairs of the Korean Foreign Ministry, Park Yong-min, and a number of heads and members of the Arab diplomatic missions, as well as members of the Arab community in South Korea.
The ambassador also attended the Seoul Friendship Fair 2017, where the UAE embassy participated in a cultural pavilion at the festival, which was held in the capital under the auspices of Seoul Municipality to highlight peoples' cultures and identity.
The Pavilion attracted a large number of Korean and foreign visitors, who took part in the event to learn about the UAE's heritage and history through its display of traditional clothing and tools, among others, as well as to learn about the modern renaissance witnessed by the nation.
