Asadi also confirmed that the militias is in battle with the army in western Anbar

Iraq’s Popular Mobilization militia spokesman, Ahmad al-Asadi, said that without the Popular Mobilization militia alongside the Assad regime, the Syrian president would have fallen into the hands of those he described as terrorists, stressing that the militia was still fighting in Iraq and Syria.

Asadi also confirmed that the militias is in battle with the army in western Anbar, and seeks to control the Iraqi-Syrian border.

He also rejected the Turkish warnings to participate in the battle of Tal Afar, stressing that the militia is mainly involved in the battle.

In this context, he said: “90% of our factions will participate in the battle of Tal Afar, and we await the announcement of the start of the battle.”
