Palestinian chief negotiator Sa'eb Erekat warned that moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would destroy the peace process.

In statements to Alhurra news channel on Wednesday, Erekat said he raised the issue during contacts with the US administration.

He added that all Arab states backed the Palestinian stand and urged US President Donald Trump to avoid taking such step.

US Vice President Mike Pence has recently said that Trump was "seriously considering" moving the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
