Three Islamic Hamas movement's militants died in tunnel collapse incidents in the Gaza Strip in the past five days, the group and Gaza-based rights group said Tuesday.

One Hamas militant, Hani Chalouf, died while working in a tunnel collapse in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah earlier on Tuesday, according to the group's armed wing.

Earlier this week, two other Hamas militants also died in two separate tunnel collapse incidents in Gaza City and in the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis.

The Gaza-based al-Mizan Center for Human Rights said in an official statistic that 30 militants from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad died in tunnels collapse incidents since Jan. 2016.
