Aisha Gaddafi Jerusalem - Sona addeak Aisha Gaddafi, the daughter of the recently killed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi may want to seek political asylum in Israel, according to Israel Channel Seven’s report. The report said that Aisha Gaddafi hired the services of Nick Kaufman, a former prosecutor assigned to the Jerusalem District Prosecutor’s Office to advocate her case. It added, she now fears that local government officials will eventually give into demands from the new Libyan regime leading to her facing extradition. It pointed out that Aisha’s friends in Europe said she believes the only country where she will feel safe is Israel, and she is advancing efforts towards obtaining political asylum with the realization that her chances of receiving asylum are not particularly good. Aisha fled Libya together with her mother and a few of brothers, and found refuge in Algeria, after the rebels took over Tripoli in August. The report mentioned that she also hired the lawyer Nick Kaufman in the International Criminal Court’s investigation of killing Muammar Gaddafi.
