Abu Dhabi - Arab Today
Kaltham Obaid Bakhit is an Emirati woman who defied challenges to become a successful role model and inspiration for those seeking to achieve their ambitions in the UAE Community. She illustrates her inspiring life journey through a short film produced by the UAE Government YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/uaegov) that showcases the important role of Emirati women in developing the community.
Kaltham, an employee at the Ministry of Health, met with a traffic accident that led to her permanent disability. The film shows how this incident became a turning point in her life and brought out her determination not to surrender to anything that affects her ambition and to be a positive element in the community.
In the film, she talks about the rehabilitation programmes offered by the UAE government that helped her continue working in the healthcare sector, and contribute to the society, especially as First Deputy Chairman of Al Thiqah Club for The Handicapped. She is also one of the founders of the Handicapped Guardian Association and the Association of Empowering Women with Disabilities in the UAE.
The short film highlights the importance of education and family values in the development of society, and shows that the road to success begins with the inner faith in the ability to achieve ambitions.
The UAE Government YouTube Channel was launched in June last year by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
