Armani’s hotel in Milano Rome - Arabstoday In an interview with Italy\'s “La Repubblica” Roberto Cavalli criticised Georgio Armani’s hotel by saying: \"Between Armani and me there is an abyss. Have you seen that new hotel? It looks like a psychiatric hospital.\" Then sensing perhaps how aggressive he had been in his review, added as an afterthought: \"Of course, I love Armani.\" In keeping with those choices, Armani\'s press office has not responded this time to the comments made by his resident competitor. The Armani Hotel is indeed a rather severe looking building on Via Manzoni, a street famous for its understated opulence and charming architecture. A modern build with Art-deco interiors, the hotel was opened last year as Armani\'s second foray into luxury accommodation. His first in Dubai was opened in 2010 in the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. Located in the heart of the fashion district the Milano palazzo has not won over all fans of Armani\'s stripped-down style.
