Beginning with a Christmas Eve ‘Signature Sunday Brunch’, the season promises to be an exceptional celebration filled with fine wine and spectacular cuisines, as well as flutes of quality champagne to make each day a magical one and bid adieu to 2017. Here is a sampling of the culinary offerings in store for guests:
The celebration begins early on the day of Christmas Eve with the legendary brunch at The Watercourt with an extravagant selection of fresh seafood, sushi & sashimi, fine cheese, Italian charcuterie and much more (THB 3,500 per adult). Diners will get the chance to savour a expansive and luxurious feast as The Watercourt hosts a terrific Christmas Eve Celebration Buffet Dinner. The extraordinary feast will include an array of enticing antipasti, traditional Christmas favourites, Asian delights and heavenly desserts (THB 7,000 per adult). Guests wishing for a quieter more exclusive dining experience can delight their palates at Tre with a carefully-crafted five-course set dinner overlooking the tranquil lagoon with live melodic saxophone background music (THB 4,500).
Christmas day starts with a sumptuous Christmas brunch at The Watercourt (THB 3,500 per adult). In contrast, guests can also opt to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life by grabbing a bicycle and taking their loved ones to a private nook around our 88 acre resort for a private Prosecco-paired picnic lunch on Christmas day (THB 10,000 per couple). The evening is all about intimacy and sacred family time as guests have the choice of impressing their loved ones with an exclusive in-villa BBQ with a private chef cooking up a bespoke grilled meal (THB 15,000 per couple). Those seeking an even more exclusive and romantic dinner can opt for a ‘Destination Dining’ experience (THB 25,000 per couple). The couple will be the only ones on a floating dining platform in the middle of the tranquil lagoon or aboard the “Sanya Rak”, Banyan Tree Phuket’s traditional long tail boat.
The build-up for New Year’s Eve offers even more with a richly satisfying poolside Barbeque on Boxing day (THB 2,000 per adult). This is followed by a four-day ‘Dining Matters’ Series with four different chef’s from Banyan Tree Phuket’s culinary team showcasing their talent at our terrace (THB 4,000 per adult): Executive Chef Ian, winner of Iron Chef Thailand 2015, brings back on 27
December the same recipes that won him the title. Executive Sous Chef Kreaton underlines innovation within cuisine on 28 December with a five-course degustation dinner. On 29 December, Thai Sous Chef unravels the secrets of Thai cuisine. Japanese Master chef Shiraishi Kikuo brings the series to an end on 30 December with a delectable four-course dinner which his experience of over 50 years encapsulates.
The Watercourt returns to the spotlight on the final eve of the year with The New Year’s Eve Gala Party ‘Jet Set’ (THB 19,500 per adult). Beginning at 7pm with a bubbly reception and canapés and followed by a full swing with a scrumptious feast prepared at several live cooking stations. Guests will dance the night away to the tunes of the live band, as well as the eclectic blend of beats spun by a professional DJ. As the clock strikes midnight, dazzling fireworks will be on display to bring the celebration to new heights.
For a slightly quieter New Year’s celebration, Saffron will hold its ‘New Year’s Eve Fabulous Thai Dinner,’ (THB 9,900 per adult) starting with cocktails at 7pm. Guests will enjoy a sensational Thai buffet throughout the evening, along with Saffron’s world-class ambience and hospitality. Guests can also kick-off the New Year with a private chef cooking up a BBQ meal in the privacy of their villa (THB 19,000 per couple).
The holiday cheer will continue throughout New Year’s Day with The Watercourt’s first brunch of 2018, the lavish late and expansive meal allows the guests to wake up late without missing out on any of the fun (THB 3,500). The festivities are wrapped up later in the day with a mouth-watering dinner at Tre (THB 4,500) to kick off the New Year with a bang.
