Algerian fashion designer, Ben Ayad Raja, prepares for launching her new collection for 2017 spring. Raja revealed, in exclusive interview with Arabs Today, the details of her new collection, which inspired by the modern oriental style, pointing out that she wanted to develop the cloak's designs to become more practical for Algerian and Arab women.
She used different collection of colors in designing her cloak's, stressing that her designs are not limited to veiled women's fashion in their normal days, but she designed fashion and dresses for weddings and events.
The creative young woman tried to cover the veiled women's needs to enable the Arab women to stick to her modest uniform even on occasions. Regarding the type of cloth that she used, the Algerian designer confirmed that she chose it very carefully, especially in terms of its thickness so as not to show the body of women.
Ben Ayad Raja's work is not only designing a modest fashion but also designing many women's hijab styles.
Raja is a young Algerian designer who has participated in many national and international fashion shows. She also has been invited to take part in international events; most notably Fashion Days organized by the French Cultural Institute, and recently received a presentation at the fashion week in Istanbul and the fashion week in Dakar.
