Bahrain has condemned the terrorist bombings that targeted several areas of the Republic of Iraq, resulting in the death and injury of scores of people.

Bahrain News Agency quoted a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as affirming the solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the Republic of Iraq in its fight against terrorism and its efforts to combat and eradicate all terrorist organisations.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured as a result of these cowardly acts of terrorism. It reiterated the firm position of the Kingdom of Bahrain against violence, extremism and terrorism in all its forms, whatever its motives and justifications, urging the international community to unite in confronting terrorism.
