A police officer has been shot dead at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus in Boston.

News reports said early Friday that a police officer for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has been shot and killed at the campus outside Boston, the US. 

Police started a manhunt to track down the killer who shot the MIT campus officer dead. The University urged students to stay indoors describing the situation as “highly dangerous. An MIT campus building is being cordoned off by police.
