The Shura Council’s Bureau has denounced the terrorist attack that occurred on Friday near Buri, and resulted in the explosion of one of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco)’s pipelines. 

During its meeting here today, under the chairmanship of the Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, the Bureau stressed that such a terrorist attack which was carried out through direct communication and instructions from Iran, was aimed at harming Bahrain’s top national interest, and subverting the security and stability of the citizens and residents of the Kingdom which has always been known as an oasis of peace and security, as well as the land of peaceful co-existence among all components.

The Shura Council’s Bureau lauded the outstanding competence of all the Interior Ministry’s departments, especially the Civil Defence, the General Directorate of Traffic and policemen.

The bureau praised Bapco’s swift dealing with the terrorist attack, as well as the citizens’ cooperation with the Civil Defence personnel, thus embodying the highest levels of patriotism.
