Ramallah - Arab Today
Palestinian Awqaf Minister Yousef Dois said Israeli decision to close al-Aqsa Mosque for the first time since Israeli forces occupied al-Quds city in 1967 is a new Israeli conspiracy that aims to divide al-Aqsa Mosque spatially and temporally between Muslims and Jews.
In a press release on Thursday, he added that the closure of the mosque revives Israeli violations especially after the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre or Ibrahimi Mosque massacre.
He also urged Palestinians to stay inside al-Aqsa Mosque to foil Israeli racial practices.
He also urged Arab and Islamic nations and international institutions to implement European Union and UNESCO resolutions that aim to stop Israeli government and settlers' aggression on al-Aqsa Mosque.
