Cairo - Arab Today
The new HQ of the National Library and Archives (NLA), located in the early Islamic city of Fustat in Cairo, is an important edifice that fits the size of Egypt's history, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said.
During the inauguration of the new HQ with Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed al Qasimi on Sunday, Mahlab said the NLA has a huge treasure of documents in the political, economic, social and intellectual domains.
The NLA is nearly the sole local source for historic events to some Arab countries, the premier said.
