Roger Federer reached the third round of the Australian Open with a tough three-sets win over American qualifier Noah Rubin on Wednesday. 
The Swiss 17-time Grand Slam champion fought back from a break down in the final set to win 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (7/3) and will next face Tomas Berdych.
