The meeting was held on the sidelines of Brown's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Khalid Al-Khayat, Head of the Executive Committee, President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), Member of the Supreme Organising Committee and Head of the Executive Committee of the World Amateur MMA Championship that will be organised in the Kingdom of Bahrain next month, held a meeting with Kerrith Brown, President of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).


The meeting was held on the sidelines of Brown's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to oversee the preparations for the upcoming event in the Kingdom.

In the meeting, Al-Khayat conveyed the greetings of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honourary President of BMMAF to Brown and thanked HH’s care and concern on personally overseeing the preparations for the championship that will be hosted by Bahrain on November 12-19.

Al-Khayat said the Kingdom of Bahrain is proud to host such an international sports event, reflecting the support of HH to MMA sports and keenness on promoting it among the youth of Bahrain, the region and the entire world.

Brown was briefed by Al-Khayat about the working committees that will supervise the championship and updated him on the progress of the work.

On his part, Brown expressed his delight of the high organising level of the Supreme Organising Committee of the championship and the endless efforts paid by its members to ensure its success.

It's worth mentioning that the championship will be held within the International Combat Week in Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town on November 12-19.

Held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the week also features the ninth edition of Brave MMA championships held under the title "Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions".
